It is 12:47, and all doctors agree that he will not come out of this; if he did, he would most likely be in a vegetative state. So, all the machines will be turned off and his antibiotics discontinued. They will keep him comfortable and pain free. They don't think he will be in this state for very long. My consolation is that Daddy will soon be able to see, and his crippled fingers will be straight. He will run through heaven's gates to see the Lord he has served so diligently for so long. I know that God has a mansion with Daddy's name on it. Dad has served him with all of his heart for many years, and I know that God is waiting with open arms. Daddy doesn't have to wait much longer to be home.
Thank you for your continued prayers.
We love you,
Renee

For all the family of our dear friend, Freeman.
ReplyDeleteWe wish you peace and continment in knowing that the Lord will soon take Freeman to be with him and remove all of his pain and troubles.
He indeed has been a faithful servant. So often he would call Howard late on Saturday and they would go over what he was going to preach the next Sunday and Freeman would ask Howard what he thought about such and such. And they would have a good visit. And then only as Freeman could do...his conversation would abruptly be over and say so long until the next time he would call. Howard has helped him a time or two in revival and they have always enjoyed comparing "notes". Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.

Powell Family,
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord for being so close and helping in so many ways during Freeman's illness. Freeman will have perfect vision and health praising and worshiping our Saviour as he stands in the very presence of our Lord. Your family has a very large group of friends to support you. Do not hesitate to call on any of them for anything. I know we all would be overjoyed to help in any way possible. The Lord wants us to love and help others and we all stand ready to help.
God Bless All,
Love Mary
What can a person say about Freeman? He is the only preacher I have known my entire life. He baptised me, married me, and most recently dedicated my son back to God. I will truly miss his hugs during the greeting portion of service, his jokes, his laugh, and his messages. Even though we won't physically see him, he has left such an imprint on this earth that he could NEVER be forgotten. A person cannot walk through the doors of Larkin without seeing the work Freeman did while on this earth. We will hear Freeman everytime Jeanette plays the organ or sings a song. Everytime Renee plays piano or does the puppet show. Everytime Caitlyn and Erin does the puppet show. His love for his family and his church family will always be seen. Freeman was a messenger of God and I cannot even imagine what God has in store for him in heaven. I do know, because Freeman has told us many times, that God will welcome us with open arms!
ReplyDeleteMay God Bless All of You,
Love, Heather
